ART CONTEST

"What does recovery mean to you?"

Every year, we pose this question to people in our programs and ask them to consider submitting an original piece of artwork in response. In past years, we've chosen a winning design to be featured on the Walk for Recovery event t-shirts. Each year, we receive so many compelling drawings, paintings, photos, and collages. This year, we've decided to feature all submitted artwork in a public display outside in Monument Square during the Walk for Recovery. We encourage you to check out the art before and after the walk and vote for your favorite piece! Prizes will be awarded for entries with the most votes.

If you are a person in recovery (or know someone) who would like to submit a piece of work, please contact Kelly Thayer, kellyt@milestonefoundation.org or (207) 934-5231. Artists may submit 2D works (max. 2ft x 2ft) to the organization they receive support from up until the firm deadline of Friday, August 16th, 2013. Please print and complete this form and submit it with any artwork: 2013 Art Contest Entry Form

Please note: The Walk for Recovery Steering Committee reserves all rights to not display any artwork deemed inappropriate for a family audience.
